Zach is a public health entomologist at Texas A&M University. He grew up in Virginia and completed his B.A. in Biology at Macalester College in Minnesota. While there, he conducted an honors thesis on the systematics and biogeography of entirely innocuous arachnids known as mite harvestmen in northeastern Australia. Between his degrees, he spent a year teaching English as a Foreign Language to elementary school children in the rural mountains of South Korea. His most feared emerging infectious agents are the coronaviruses.
Cynthia is a junior at Texas A&M University. She is a Biomedical Science major and not fond of bugs at all. She joined this investigation team to validate her fear of creepy-crawlies, while exposing the danger they truly pose. Upon graduating from A&M, Cynthia will go to Pharmacy school and hopefully not interact with bugs on a daily basis. She would really like it if the only annoying animal she has to deal with is her Australian Shepherd, Aussie Monster. |
